The wavy or curly coated labradoodles do not shed. This is because, much like our hair, it continues to grow instead of "shedding". Sometimes in the F1's (Lab x Poodle), there will be one or two puppies that have more of a Lab coat. This is why we have made an effort to move on from the F1's and establish the breed in a more consistent way.Which is better, male or female?
Both male and female make excellent family members. Sometimes people are hesitant about buying a male because of the trait known as "marking" their territory. However, if you have your male neutered when they are young (about 6-9 months old) and do not have an unspayed female around, you won't have that problem. What does F1, F1B, F2 etc. mean?
F1 = Lab x PoodleF3 = F1B x F1B (Multigen)
